Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar: A Truly Unmatched Tasty Innovation

Zinburger is located in the Beverly Hills of the East -- Buckhead, Atlanta -- at Lenox Square. The great thing about this is everyone’s favorite four-letter word:
FREE – FREE - FREE – FREE - FREE – FREE - FREE – FREE - FREE
parking!
The thought of getting something for the price of nothing is always satisfying, even for parking!
As we sauntered into Zinburger around 9:40 p.m., we were greeted by their outdoor decor of cows drinking wine as they overlooked a calming fire pit that lit up the front of the restaurant.

Zen -- check.
The host, though as dry as the host last week at Puff and Petals, seated us immediately. Here we go people, we are officially two for two with being greeted by dry hosts.
When I look up the requirements to be a host at Zinburger, they read:
  • Happily, welcome and greet guests upon arrival
  • Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them
  • Know regulars by name; know their preferences and needs
  • When on a wait, record guest’s name and number of people in a party, provide guests with estimated waiting time and seat them as soon as possible when a table becomes available
  • Seat guests based on guest preferences while balancing the guest flow
  • Present guests with a menu when they are seated, and ensure the table looks great and is up to standards
  • Thank the guests as they leave and invite them to return to their happy childhood memories soon.
We were UNHAPPILY presented with a menu and we were thanked as we left. I guess checking off two bullets is better than checking off none.
Zinburger closes at 10 p.m. on Sundays. Surprisingly this had no effect on the professionalism of our attentive and exceptionally effervescent waitress. Not only was she observant, but she possessed all the qualities of a truly great server:
  • Watchful -- check
  • Cordial -- check
  • High Energy -- check, check, check
  • Excellent Verbal Communication -- check

She immediately asked if we’d been to Zinburger before. When we said no, she asked if we wanted to hear the specials
(THANK YOU FOR ASKING), and when we agreed she read out all the specials of the day, as well as suggesting popular menu items.
Everything at Zinburger is specially made according to the customer’s specifications. We decided to order:
  • Clint’s “Almost Famous” Veggie Burger $9.50: Smoked Mozzarella Cheese, Avocado, Tomato, Lettuce & Mayo (Make it Vegan … 86 the Bun, Mayo, Cheese & Sub a Green Salad)
  • Zinburger $11: Manchego Cheese, Zinfandel Braised Onions, Lettuce & Mayo
  • Zucchini Fries $6.50: Parmesan Cheese & Ranch Dressing
  • Double Truffle Fries $6.50: Truffle Aioli, Truffle Oil & Parmesan Cheese.
Unfortunately for us, Clint’s “Almost Famous” Veggie Burger is made special every morning which means there are only a limited amount each day. By the time we arrived, Zinburger was fresh out of their “Almost Famous” Burgers and instead, the waitress suggested we sub a turkey burger in its place. We took her suggestion and made an “Almost Famous” turkey burger.
The uniqueness of Zinburger comes not from the decor or the burgers itself but, from my opinion, the sides.
Does anybody else feel like a bad side will ruin a good meal? Well, me too.
No, no, no, this isn’t some sad attempt to b-line Zinburger for their terrible choice in sides. Quite the contrary actually, they almost overwhelmed with the number of choices of fries alone:
  • SPICY GREEN CHILI FRIES $7.00: Green Chili Cheese Sauce, Roasted Jalapeño, Chipotle Sauce, Cotija Cheese & Chives
  • Zucchini Fries $6.50: Parmesan Cheese & Ranch Dressing
  • Double Truffle Fries $6.50: Truffle Aioli, Truffle Oil & Parmesan Cheese
  • SWEET POTATO WAFFLE FRIES $6.00: Yogurt & Maple Dipping Sauces
  • HAND CUT FRIES $5.50
  • "LOADED" FRIES $7.00: APPLEWOOD SMOKED BACON, CHEESE SAUCE, SOUR CREAM & CHIVES.
WOW, WOW, WOW.
We could have tried them all, but instead, we chose two.
The Zucchini Fries and the Double Truffle Fries were the highlights of our meal. The burgers were absolutely cooked to perfection, but let’s face it, a burger is a burger is a burger. I am an utter fry fanatic and a location with good fries will unquestionably keep me coming back for more.
Zinburger also offers its customers other options aside from burgers such as salads, milkshakes, pies, wine, beer, and cocktails. A fine-dining restaurant that has something for everyone.

Overall, if you want a perfectly cooked burger and some interesting new side choices, Zinburger is the place to go. Though it isn’t very first date friendly, if you and your partner are comfortable with watching each other fight with a disturbingly jam-packed Zinburger, then you should try this spot. We give it a 9 out of 10!
